Marketplace Terms
These terms cover buying and selling on the HoloLedger marketplace, for both buyers and sellers, and form part of our Terms of Service.
Version 1.0 · Effective 10 October 2026
1. Listings
Sellers must accurately describe the card, its condition or grading, and provide genuine photos where required. Misrepresenting a card’s identity, condition, or authenticity is prohibited.
Eligible items. Only official, genuine Pokémon cards may be listed. Proxy, reproduction, custom/fan-made, and other unofficial cards may not be listed or sold on the Marketplace, regardless of how accurately they are described — see our Prohibited Items & Content Policy.
2. Who is selling
HoloLedger is currently a marketplace for private individual sellers selling their own collection, not for sellers acting in the course of a business or trade.
Before you sell, we ask how you are selling, and buyers are shown that you sell as a private individual. By listing a card, you confirm that you are selling as a private individual and are not acting in the course of a business (a factual test — the frequency, scale, and profit-motive of your selling activity — not merely how you label yourself). If you are in fact acting as a trader, different legal obligations apply, including UK consumer return and cancellation rights (see our Refunds & Cancellations Policy), which this version of HoloLedger does not support, and you must not sell on HoloLedger until it does. If you tell us you sell as a business, we pause your listings. You can still complete orders you have already accepted.
We may review or restrict a seller’s access where their actual selling activity indicates the account may be operating commercially or as a trader, independent of what the seller declared.
3. Ownership and right to sell
You confirm you own, and have the right to sell, any card you list.
4. Pricing and fees
The buyer pays your price plus the Buyer Protection fee (see our Buyer Protection Policy). Buyers see that total on your listing before they buy. HoloLedger currently charges 0% seller commission: you receive your full price.
5. Payment flow
Payments are processed via Stripe. The buyer pays HoloLedger; HoloLedger transfers the seller’s proceeds to their connected Stripe account after the order is confirmed received and the inspection hold has passed — see our Dispute Policy.
6. Dispatch
Once an order is paid, the seller must dispatch promptly. A buyer who is unhappy with dispatch delay can cancel at any time before dispatch for a full, immediate refund — see our Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
7. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes
Governed by our Refunds & Cancellations Policy and Dispute Policy.
8. Seller cooperation with disputes
Sellers must respond honestly to disputes and provide requested information within the response window.
9. Tax and reporting obligations
You are responsible for your own tax affairs. HoloLedger does not provide tax advice and does not currently withhold or remit tax on your behalf. We are assessing whether UK digital platform reporting rules apply to HoloLedger; if they do, we may be legally required to collect certain information from sellers (such as name, address, and tax reference) and report sales activity to HMRC annually. We will notify affected sellers before any such collection begins.
10. Prohibited conduct
See our Prohibited Items & Content Policy, including the prohibition on off-platform payment arrangements that evade Buyer Protection.
11. Buyer Protection
See our Buyer Protection Policy for the buyer’s side of the marketplace relationship.
12. Legal relationship between the parties
The individual seller is the contracting party for the sale of the card itself. HoloLedger is an intermediary providing the marketplace, payment-facilitation, and Buyer Protection service.
